The problem was not the initial message, that is exactly the sort of
thing that should be going on the announcement list. A notification of
an upcoming event.

The discussion that followed should have been on the -discuss list
however.

If people wanted to not be subscribed to -discuss but still wanted to
see the replies, they can see the -discuss list via NNTP or via the
online web interfaces at:

 * http://news.gmane.org/gmane.org.hackerspaces.57north
 * http://blog.gmane.org/gmane.org.hackerspaces.57north
 * http://lists.57north.co/pipermail/57north-discuss/

The -announce list is intended to be _low volume_. That means no more
than one email a day, and no more than three a week, as a general rule
(although there will be busy times and less busy times).
