This is one of the primary reasons for suggesting we abolish meetings.

All the decision making is concentrated into a one hour slot once a month,
where decisions are made by the people present.

Instead, issues should be discussed on the mailing list and those that have
an opinion can jump in.

For heated arguments, we could have shouting matches in IRC too, and then
take the results back to the mailing list.

Even if members choose not to be subscribed to the -discuss mailing list,
there are multiple places on the web and via NNTP that they can read the
discussion, everything is recorded and archived, and they'll recieve monthly
"state-of-the-space" updates on -announce.
