We still haven't seen a specification for this system, but I don't think it
will be helpful from what I've heard so far. The current system does not
actually need to be replaced, I just couldn't maintain it anymore.

If we move to RFID, the membership cards I have designed will not be able to
integrate with the system. This is not a massive problem, just means someone
will have to rethink the cards they are based on. I don't know enough about
RFID to do this.
