Hi All

The 'very flashy badge' schematic and PCB layout for the proposed
hack'n'make event is linked for review: View at 57n badge Schem
PCB.pdf<https://57north.co/wiki/File:57n_badge_Schem_PCB.pdf>

Comments/corrections/insults welcome.

Things to note are:

   1. The board measures in at 45mm x 65mm min
   2. There are two PCB versions, one with flood fill, one without
   3. The timing cap C1 will be laying down on the space provided onboard
   4. The following mirrored text was cut off at the bottom, directly under
the logo: "http://57north.co EW Rev1" (Blame KiCAD)
   5. There is a non-mirrored white screen version of the copper-etched
bottom text but it was turned off for clarity.
   6. Badge finishing option (A): The general idea is that we stick a layer
of foam tape over the rear copper after soldering and add a layer of velcro
attached to velco pads on the component side. The non-Velcro side will have
the printed "57n" logo with the LED flashing at the right-end hole. A use
of the corner holes for lanyard or a largish safety pin at the rear is
   suggested. See 3D concept.pdf<https://57north.co/wiki/File:3D_concept.pdf>
   7. Badge finishing option (B) We just use the wide heat-shrink and a
printed logo under it (as I have done to my buspirate - works great).

Cheers ,
Ed
