Cool!
I don't anticipate any POTS connections, but we could do cool things. The
immediate thing I want to get working is EPVPN:
https://www.eventphone.de/wiki/index.php/EPVPN
Those that have been to emfcamp or those that are going to 31C3 will know
that these events have their own phone networks. EPVPN is the system that
stays behind after the event allowing hackerspaces and hackers to
communicate.
I'm also interested in setting up C*NET:
https://www.ckts.info/
People who restored older PBXes and CO switching systems had begun to wonder
if there was a way to connect their switches together via the internet. Thus
the Telephone Collectors Network was born.
This is perhaps a bit more specialist interest, but I think we could do some
cool things there. We would take the Aberdeen area code for that and would
have to be the coordinator for Aberdeen.
Thanks,
Iain.
