Hi,
57North Hacklab is organising a Cryptoparty, hosted by the Aberdeen
University Computing Science Society and supported by Open Rights Group
and FSFE Aberdeen.
As seen both through the Edward Snowden revelations, and our recent
campaign against PRISM and Tempora, something needs to be done to
protect our email, IM chat and web browsing from the prying eyes of GCHQ
and the NSA. There's currently a great deal of interest surrounding
these issues and as a result people are looking for tools to help them
protect their privacy and security online. Cryptoparties are a great way
for anyone to learn how to install and use tools to help secure their
online communications.
When: Saturday, 22nd February 2014 @ 2pm
Where: North Entrance Foyer, Meston Building, University of Aberdeen
For more details, see: http://57north.co/wiki/Cryptoparty
If you're still missing details, you may email me directly.
Iain.
