I did have a look. Decided against it. XMPP gives you a whole lot more for
free like transport over HTTP in restricted environments, etc. that you just
don't get with MQTT.
I think MQTT is better if you have control over the entire system. I expect
people to be building their own clients that may be working in scenarios I
haven't even imagined.
These opinions however, are just opinions. I haven't worked with MQTT enough
to speak knowledgably on this topic.
