Hi, Tom.
I remembered to reply to discuss this week ;-)

I'm just back from holiday and I only just rigged up a USB-powered fan
to cool my Parallella last night - I've not powered up my Parallella
kit yet because I'm a bit paranoid about about it overheating :-(
@Callum - Sorry that fan-bracket you made for me is simply too big for
four cards and I want to use USB-powered fans that will start at 5V.
Just to add fuel to the fire, so to speak, I got an unexpected VAT
bill for an eye-watering £84 from DHL (who delivered it from the USA).
The Parallella 'cluster' kit is not as cheap as it looks when you
factor in VAT and all the other bits and pieces you actually need to
run it...
I'll be in tonight to see what we can do using "meerkat" as an Ubuntu
terminal server. It might be redundant now that Iain has set up
another login server in which case we can dump it if nobody else is
interested.
No word from Kit Wright yet about the spec. of the other scrap servers
from Petrotech, but I won't get any more unless they are the same as
or better than "meerkat". I think we should dump the other scrap servers.
Bye,
Tony.
