Hello,

At places I've worked they will use advice from the HSE on specifics such
as fire extinguishers and such. They have quite a few guidance documents on
their website which can be downloaded for free.

For example workshop safety.

also helps interpret the law on such things

May want to consider maintaining a register of chemicals on site and a
storage safe for them also, can help in emergencies to have MSDS available
to quickly treat people for exposure.

I'm not going to pretend to be a H&S guy I've just worked in a few
electronics workshops in the past. Hope this helps.
