I agree with your comments, as I assume do the other directors. Of
course the true motive was to address the imbalance not to contribute
to it.

The word noted was not a word spoken at the meeting and was a poor
choice by the note taker, added in jest, at a time when the meeting
was wrapping up. The fact it made it out the the announce list means
the real issue is that we think about taking more representative notes
during meetings like this. Onlookers should understand that no
ill-will was intended and that honest motive was rooted in helping to
reach a better balance. I too would like to help change how my partner
sees us - away from a 'mens club' to a more accurate 'creative space'.
