To take this forward:

There is a hackerspaces equality mailing list[1]. It is mostly dead but I
did notice this post[2] from HacDC where they have developed a diversity
statement and an anti-harassment policy.

There is a website about hacker equality[3] with no content on it. They do
seem to have a mission statement[4] though which has some good stuff in it.

These people do seem to be dead since 2012.

I wouldn't say that the space has any problems with regard to attempting to
be as inclusive as possible but I can imagine that there are some that might
think we would be hostile if they came to visit us for the fact that we are
primarily a room of white heterosexual males aged 18-35.

If we were to put together a diversity statement or similar, how would
people feel about publishing this on the website so that people can see we
are friendly?
