Hi Richard,

I mentioned the idea using APRS[1] to put together some sort of Twitter bot.
I've done it[2], and it was a lot easier than I thought it would be.

Do you have any tips for getting the follower count up initially?

It's currently tweeting every 40 minutes, taking an amateur that is mobile
(walking or driving), looking up their location with Geonames and displaying
a photo from Flickr taken within 5km of their location. If either the
Geonames lookup or the Flickr lookup fail, it picks the next amateur in the
list.

I've added a link to aprs.fi so that they can be tracked on a map and as
they're mobile at the time of the tweet, they should usually be moving on
the map. I've also added the #hamradio and #hamr hashtags.
