I've had a bash at updating the website - mostly just deleting stuff
that was out of date. 

You can see what I've changed at https://github.com/hackerdeen/website

There is a live version of the "new" site at
https://57north.org.uk/new/website/

If there is anything else that you think should be changed: please shout
(or, even better, give a pull request).

Unless there are any objections (that I agree with) I'll push the
changed version live in a couple of days.
