I'll be in trying to remaster Ubuntu 16.04 on my laptop with "respin":

I used "Remastersys" a lot about ten years ago, so I was pleased to see
it being actively developed again ad "respin". I originally came to this
via "Zen" linux, which supported remastering out of the box:

Sadly, the developer of "Zen Linux" Raymond Medeiros got fed up of it
and at one time he offered me the chance to take over but by then I'd
started using Ubuntu. Since then, Raymond has become Claire and seems to
be much happier now:
