hello all

sorry for the very late reply; alas the chess got the better of me.

As to what im up to these days, i have some repeat business (very cool) x
2so im no longer just looking after the kids, its 2 old clients from
brighton to service. theyre both beyond 60 so i guess that counts as old.
Whether i'll still be doing this lark when im also old is another matter.

im over at the apple store today to gget the sticky gg key work properly as
well as the "laptop as a phone" feature plus the clean up of the iphone:
number 1 client said yesterday morning that i sounded like i was stuck down
a well. i have a feeling he was, not me, since i was above ground at the
time. i have a feeling he works from a basement.

After a very good support call i discovered where the microphone is located
on the SE - the 2x5 array of .75mm holes *is* the thing in question, and
thats the gizmo which needs the speech.

*idle thought*: is there the equivalent of speedtest / ping base for
telephones? can i input a telephone number and see what sort of quality im
gonna get *before* i nearly lose a customer?
