I have an old tablet to bring in that could be used for controlling the lights.  

I think I'm going to see if I can convince the 3D printer to make one of these:

Plus  poking at making a similar thing from foamboard and hot glue and playing with some LEDs to light them up. 

We'll see how much of that list I actually get through...
